Issue # 3 - Why Most Men Over 35 Are Getting Soft
Here’s why your edge is dulling—and how to get it back.
🦁 Why Most Men Over 35 Are Getting Soft
And how to reverse it—fast.
Let’s be real: most men over 35 are slowly softening—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
It’s not your fault. But it is your responsibility.
We’re told to "slow down," to "accept dad bods," and that being tired all the time is “just part of getting older.”
It’s not.
What’s really happening? A deadly combo of:
🧠 1. Mental Drift
You stop chasing something hard. You’ve “made it” in your business or career. The urgency is gone. Comfort creeps in. Discipline slips.
🍔 2. Terrible Inputs
Ultra-processed food. Poor sleep. No sunlight. Constant screen exposure. Your testosterone doesn’t stand a chance.
💤 3. Movement = Zero
You train less. Or not at all. Your workouts are sporadic. You sit more, stretch never, and can’t remember the last time you sprinted.
💥 The Rebuild Plan
Here’s how we take it back:
🛑 1. Stop Accepting "Normal"
Low energy, low sex drive, bad sleep, and growing gut = not normal.
It’s a signal, not a sentence.
🏋️ 2. Lift Heavy, Hard, and Often
Train with intensity. Think performance, not just appearance. Push something heavy 3–4x/week. Your body will respond.
🌞 3. Daily Sun, Steps, and Sleep
Aim for 8k+ steps. 10 minutes of sunlight before 10 a.m. Build a nighttime routine that respects your future self.
🥩 4. Eat Like a Warrior, Not a Wimp
More protein. Fewer processed carbs. Cut the seed oils. Focus on real, whole food with a primal edge.
🧠 5. Find a Fire
Pick a mission. A challenge. Something uncomfortable and meaningful. Reignite your purpose. Your body follows your mind.
⚔️ Strong Men Take Ownership
You’re not broken. You’re not “too old.”
You’re just one clear decision away from your comeback.
And the world needs stronger men—starting with you.
Stay sharp,
— Coach Joel
